Yuvraj Walmiki is a world-class hockey player who has won numerous Gold medals for India at various significant hockey tournaments. He represented India in the 2011 Asia Champions trophy and also played in the 2014 world cup. He is the only player to have played Germany Hockey League for over 8 years continuously. Yuvraj is also the recipient of the Shiv Chhatrapati Award in 2017 which is the highest sporting award in Maharashtra. Yuvraj was the star participant in (Fear Factor) Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7.
Yuvraj Walmiki wasn’t born to score goals or even play hockey, instead, he was born into grinding poverty and spent his childhood in Mumbai slums. His childhood was fussed with hurdles, despite that he never let his love for hockey fade. He dedicatedly practiced on cement courts and soon found himself under the tutelage of Merzban Patel, also known as Bawa, who is quite a remarkable figure in Mumbai hockey.
His dedication and hard work have brought him to the peak of his career. He has been one of the key reasons behind the success of the Indian hockey team. The striker of Indian hockey team Walmiki unquestionably is the pride of India and an inspiration for many budding hockey players and fans.
